Terms of use

The service

TownTap is a digital wallet for loyalty programmes run by local businesses. By creating a wallet you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

We provide the wallet. Each business decides its own stamp cards, rewards and perks, and is responsible for honouring them.

Stamps and rewards

Stamps are added when a business's staff confirm them at the counter. A tap on its own does not guarantee a stamp.

Stamps, rewards and perks have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and can only be used at the business that gave them.

A business may set an expiry date on rewards, change its programme, or end it with notice.

TownTap never takes payments or bookings between you and a business.

Fair use

Collect stamps only for your own genuine visits. Don't copy, share or tamper with tap links or tags, or try to collect stamps you haven't earned.

We or the business may remove stamps or rewards collected unfairly, and we may close a wallet used to abuse the service.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your wallet until you tell us it has been compromised.

You can stop using TownTap at any time, and delete your account on your profile. For help, email chad@thewrightdesigns.co.za.

Liability

We work to keep the wallet available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be. If something goes wrong with a stamp or reward, ask the business first. They can correct your card.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
